What are Personalized Children's Books?
Personalized Children's Books are innovative and exciting story books where the reader becomes the star of his or her own adventure. Each story contains the child's name, age, hometown and friends, plus a special message from you. Personalized Story Books CDs are interactive, animated, audio CD story books that are played on your computer. Unlike our personalized books that can be made to include any child's name no matter how unique, Story Book CDs have limited names available. Please verify that your child's name is available in the list of names when ordering a Story book CD. Also, if the spelling of your child's name is different, that's okay, we can spell the name any way you like, for example, Katelin, Kaitlyn, or Catelyn. Personalized Music CDs are audio CDs that contain stories and theme songs from popular shows personalized to include your child's name. Your child's name is mentioned throughout the entire CD by their favorite characters. Unlike our personalized books that can be made to include any child's name no matter how unique, Music CDs have limited names available. Please verify that your child's name is available in the list of names when ordering a Personalized Music CDs. Each Personalized Music CD has their own list of available names. Also, if the spelling of your child's name is different, that's okay, we can spell the name any way you like, for example, Katelin, Kaitlyn, or Catelyn. We process and ship orders weekly, (rush orders are processed and shipped immediately). During the holidays (October - December) orders are shipped and processed within three business days. We offer three methods of shipping so you can decide how quickly you would like to receive your book. Click here for our shipping options and rates. If you do not receive your order within 3 weeks of purchase, please notify us within 30 days and we will ship out a replacement order. What can I use for the book "dedication"? If the child is related to you and there is no special occasion, we typically suggest "With love, X" as the dedication. However, if you're giving a book as a birthday or holiday present, specify the occasion in the dedication such as "Happy Birthday! or "Merry Christmas! We also recommend that you indicate the year in which the book is given. How often will the "nick name" be used in the book? We suggest using a nickname only if it is a name that your child is commonly known by, such as "Rob" for Robert or "Liz" for Elizabeth. This is because once we enter the nickname as part of the book information, that name will be substituted for the child's actual name and will be used throughout the story. So please use discretion! How many pages are there in your personalized books? The number of pages in each of our personalized books varies. Our 6x9 books manufactured by "Best" and licensed titles such as Sesame Street have 24 pages, every page contains color illustrations with text alternating on each page. Our large 9x12 books have 18 pages, every page contains color illustrations with text alternating on each page. Our books manufactured by "Create-A-Book" vary between 32-36 pages, the pages of these books alternate between color illustrations on one page and text on the other. The manufacturer of each book is listed on our site at the bottom of each book description. Return to Top Can the book be personalized for a child located in another country? Absolutley! Simply provide the country and province, for example Rome, Italy in the "Hometown" section of the personalized order page and select "NO STATE" in the drop down menu as the state. Your personalized information will read as Rome, Italy in the book. Are your books available in other languages? Some of our books are available in Spanish. If you want to order a book in Spanish, please contact us for more information. Is it okay to submit my order form without the child's age? It will come out just as good regardless of whether the child's age is included in the book. The same goes for the child's middle name - it's up to you whether you want to include it in the story. Can I see how the book is personalized for my child? YES! We understand how important it is for you to see how your book is personalized with your child's information. Since we process multiple orders daily, the email address in the book "Order Form" page serves as an identification record to ensure that we process your order correctly. Your email address will not be included in the book. How can I contact you if I'm having problems with your website? If you are having any problems with our site, or the ordering process, please contact us at support@kdnovelties.com. We will respond quickly and help you through any questions you may have. Can I change the information I already submitted? Any of the book information you provide can be changed. Just send us a quick email at orders@kdnovelties.com or give us a call at 845-510-4090 within 24 hours of placing your order. (12 hours during the holiday season as orders are expedited) Please remember to tell us your name, the child's name and the name of the book along with the information you would like to change. How do I redeem my Gift Certificate? On Line - Click on "Redeem Gift Certificate" on our bottom menu or within the "Gift Certificate" page. Select the book you would like to order. On the order form enter your gift certificate number, the personalized information for your book and shipping information. By Mail - Fill out the order form on the back of the gift certificate with the personalized information for the book. Mail the gift certificate to KD Novelties, P.O. Box 2164, Monroe, NY 10949. What is PayPal and is it secure? PayPal is a trusted and secure online payment system, used by many companies on the internet to collect payment from customers, safely and securely. eBay is one of the largest users of PayPal, with millions of members performing transactions every day. Am I required to pay sales tax? You are only required to pay sales tax if you are shipping the book to a New York State address. In this case you must select the NY State Tax option on our checkout page. Shipping to any other state does not require tax. Please make sure to select the correct tax option, if not we will not be able to process your order. Why are both my phone number and email required? Your phone number and email are required in case we need to contact you with any questions regarding your order. The reason why both are required is so we may contact you promptly to be able to process your order in a timely fashion. |
